“Will to Power”
The meaning of Will to Power for a warrior meant to embrace the mindset of relentless inner growth, personal mastery, and the drive to impose order and strength in the face of chaos, weakness, or resistance.
The concept of Will to Power comes from Friedrich Nietzsche, who stated that it is not the strive for control or dominance, but to become “more,” to have purpose and is as useful as a weapon for any situation, may it be for battle or just simply for the people.
Lessons for warriors to be, involved conquering one’s own mind before being able to win battles amongst their enemies. Controlling your emotions, getting rid of your fears, doubts and impulses to react helps you become disciplined with yourself to overcome and grow. But the Will to Power is always limitless meaning that the ability to learn and grow is always available. The challenge of failure or loss is only fuel to build character and since struggles cannot be avoided, the person seeking greatness is one who attacks those struggles.
Within our modern-day warrior societies, we are fighting against racism, oppression, and the negative items used to keep our people weak. It is your job to continue to live for good, fight against those that mean to take away your identity and threaten the people, the land, the ceremonies that protect you. As a warrior, you are charged with protecting those who cannot fight.
By keeping your values and traditions alive, you keep your people alive. Prepare for the fight that threatens your Will to Power.
