Many cultures have designs and textiles of spiders because they play an important part of that tribes heritage. In other tribes, like the Lakota, the spider is a man named Iktomi and he is a trickster. In the Dine' culture, the spider is known as Spider Woman and is a deity. In many stories, she is the teacher of beauty, weaving, and agriculture. She also used her powers to "save the day," and also helped guide the Hero Twins when they fought the monters. She protects the innocent restores harmony to the world.

I drew inspiration from Marvel's Ghost Spidey for the imagery but made her wearing traditional Navajo gear.
