A gift to that special mother who loves and continues to love, even when she's tired.
“A Mother’s Love”
I sit back and watch my wife juggle both of my own children and wish I could multitask like she does. Seeing my lady become stretched out but provide the same love and care for both of our children at the same time is something powerful that I hope everyone can experience to see.
The commissioner of the original drawing asked to capture the connection that a mother shares with her born-child and unborn-child, where both are being given life and love at the same time. Here is a picture of a mother who is breast feeding the toddler and keeping the upcoming baby safe while it sits in the womb.
A mother's arms is where a child feels the safest and it is a known fact that the womb is the most protected places for a fetus. When the toddler scrapes their knee or feels scared, they run to their mom for safety and the belly becomes hard as the fetus grows and can withstand harsh bumps, almost never harming the baby inside. It also acts as a barrier to keep the fetus healthy and growing. As the mother gives life to each child at the same time, they learn to take in this special connection will always feel the safest with her.
I have seen this happen with my wife and have witnessed the love, the exhaustion, the happiness, the stress, and the pride that she has in these types of moments. Mothers do their best, but I applaud the woman who eats, sleeps, and takes care of herself after the children are taken care of.
