Thašíyagmunka (tah-shee-yahG-moo-nkahh) or Meadowlark, is a bird of great significance to the Lakota people. It is said that when a hero named Falling Star Boy came fell from the sky, it was the Meadowlark that raised the young boy to become a man. The meadowlark taught him lakota but when it was time to live among humans, the meadowlark sent him to the nearest village. There, our hero helped our people to overcome harsh times and gave us great teachings

The image is hand drawn and painted on EACH earring using watercolor paints and archival ink. Images are handpainted on REAL ledger paper. Gold-leaf for the floral and dot accents in the background. Complete with size 11 opaque medium red and 24karot gold beads. With Picasso sand combination matte beads for the edging. Backed with smoked deer hide.
